Upham's Corner Library

Located just south of Boston, Upham's Corner is a community of diverse backgrounds. Taking from the idea of a mosaic, this local branch library is intended to respect and respond to the diverse backgrounds of the community. With a focus on open community spaces, this library takes advantage of the structural capabilities of mass timber in creating large open spaces. Through a series of interlocking roof beams, the roof allows the program of the library to occupy a single, uninterrupted space.
